Hello from Yorkshire
Hi there, I met a few site members down at Race Retro last month. I've been collecting 1/43 rally models for a good while and find getting hold of the decals the most difficult part... Well and the time to get on with them of course! I particularly like the 70s and 80s stuff, not a big fan of 'modern' rally cars if I'm honest, I guess it shows my age!
Re: Hello from Yorkshire
hi m8, welcome aboard!! you'll find plenty of advice here on 43's, plus decals and conversions.....enjoy!

Welcome to the forum Smudger - it will probably have been Zeus or myself that you spoke to at Race Retro - we were about the Metro 6R4 model display for the majority of the show.
I hope you're very happy here.

Hi Smudger,
Welcome on board from another newbie. I can vouch for the friendly nature of the folks on here, and how easily they can part you from your bank account Don't worry though, you'll get far more pleasure from the models

Re: Hello from Yorkshire
I'd need to get an extension built or sell some of my 1/1 'toy' cars to have room for the 1/18 stuff - Nice but just to big to collect in any decent numbers imo.
Re: Hello from Yorkshire
hhmmmm yeah they take a bit of room m8 that's for sure but there are a few sizeable 1:18 collections on here..... horses for courses.....

No thanks, Billy, don't fancy eating horses. D'you think I'm French or something!?
Welcome aboard to the good ship DRM. Plenty of banter, advice and encouragement available here and as already mentioned, plenty of ways to entice cash out of your accounts.

If you look at the time of Billy's posting, you'll spot it may have been after a session of the falling-down water... which may account for it? Maybe!
Nice one, Billy!! Cheers, Steve
