Philip Young

Anyone who is into Historic Rallying will know the name of Philip Young.

News is coming out that after a motorcycle crash on The Road To Mandalay Rally he has passed away

Personally I didnt know Philip very well, but he was someone you liked or you didnt. He was a bit cavalier in some of his organisation.

But if he had not started the HRCR and the first Classic Marathon in 1988, Historic Rallying in any form would not be what it is today.

RIP Philip and thank you

...and a Triumph TR8, a Morris Minor, a Rover SD1... Wink

A sad loss indeed - where would historic rallying be without him, never mind the HRCR!
