British Rallycross Championship Rounds 4 & 5: Mondello Park, 27 & 28 June 2015

The next two rounds of the 2015 British Rallycross Championship will soon be here, back to back rounds over one weekend in Ireland.

I've booked the ferry, the weather (plenty of sun) and a place for my rallycross model display for both days and am looking forward to my first time at Mondello Park. The display will be in the Ripla Retro Rallycross Arena within the paddock.

Hoping to see some of you guys from across the water over the course of the weekend.

Getting packed ready for an extended weekend's rallycross trip! Very early start on Wednesday, arrive in Rosslare in the evening, spending Thursday and most of friday sight seeing before heading to Mondello Friday evening through to Sunday late afternoon. Then return towards Wexford until early Tuesday morning when I take the ferry back to Pembrokeshire.

Can't wait for a double-whammy of rallycross action next weekend and some investigating of a part of Ireland (the South-East) that I haven't been to before.

Anyone from here heading to Mondello or in the vicinity of Wexford afterwards?

Local rally to me, the ravens rock rally is on that sunday so ill be heading to that. Sounds like a great trip you have planned. If your heading through wicklow, you might be able to take in some classic circuit of ireland stages like the sally gap etc

Certainly worth looking up whilst I'm in the area.  May have to dress it up as a scenic route from A to B, else my better half will get suspicious!!!

Don't try Sally Gap with a caravan, the road that used to be used for the stage is rough in parts and there are speed ramps on it or else the road is subsiding in places.

Don't worry, I was only jesting about taking the caravan - in fact, any road that suggests it;'s a 'gap' is a bit dodgy with a 'van in tow!! I did drive through a deep ford whilst towing the caravan a few years ago, which was interesting. Don't anticipate doing that sort of thing this week!!
