Breen and Neuville both had big offs in shakedown and the carnage has already started on the main event today. Mikkelsen out for the day on SS5, Evans ran wide and broke the suspension and lucky not to roll Tanak had an off and broke a damper and Meeke and Kubica had technical issues. Ogier currently blitzing the stages....

Mikklesen out for the day at least after a big roll as is Paddon. Breen out all together with more Pug engine woes. Its carnage!

Meeke seems to have recovered and taking it to the Veedubs now! Latvala leading after SS8...

yeah, slid off in the wet on ss16.............one cant help but think there'll be repercussions.....

Real shame. Kris proves time and time again that he is one of the few who can take the fight to the VW's but just cant keep it on the road. The DS3 is obviously lacking against the Polo and he must br having to drive beyond the limit.

Put him in a VW and it would be a different story.

agreed lads but cant see that happening......unfortunately he's getting a reputation, like mcrae, for pushing just a wee bit too hard.....really wish he would get it in his head to settle for a good points finish, if he hasn't the car to beat the polos, at least he'd be the best of the rest or thereabouts, that way it would be clear that he deserves a seat in the top car......wonder if the damage is already done though....hope not....

17th for meeke lol!! picked up a point for 3rd fastest in power stage... stays in 6th overall.....

Somebody has posted this interesting breakdown on the British rally forum of how many WRC events the the following four drivers, all of whom have 1 WRC rally victory, have made. This is comparing only WRC events in WRC cars, not junior championships.

Dani Sordo 108 WRC starts, 1 rally win.

Mads Ostberg, 86 WRC starts, 1 rally win. (Second on road won due to exclusion of Hirvonen)

Thierry Neuville, 47 WRC starts, 1 rally win.

Kris Meeke, 30 WRC starts including 6 in the Mini, 1 rally win.

Based on that Kris is top of the class....

chris, that's good to see but will monsieur matton read those stats I wonder? hope so lol!!
