Bastos and Belga cars, slightly different

Post  Juha on Thu May 05, 2016 12:22 am

With my Bastos and Belga cars nearing completion, I was asked if I was going to add the racing cars too.

The obvious answer is "no". Just the sheer number of them puts me off, but I must admit there are some lovely among them.

How to lose a 24 hour race in the last two laps after leading it for 17 hours...

We're never too far away from the rallying theme, Duez and Verreydt were regulars in touring cars:

And this was driven by some guy named Nelson Piquet. Not sure how much rallying he did...

Probably one of the last racing cars to be seen in the Bastos livery, one of the first GT3 Porsches driven by Patrick Snijers and Patrick Huisman. The advertising ban had already started, the solution was an obvious one.

I could add this one though...

... and I'd need to make a lot of space for this boy:

Bastos, one of the strongest liveries ever...
the combination of colors and matching co-sponsors like FINA makes it more unique. One of my favourite livery and made some code3's earlier...

No, it's purely a Bastos thing. I think this one and the rally poster were commissioned by them.
