Re: Meagher models
I bought a Manta off him a while back. When I saw it advertised I asked him would he be interested in doing a run of them and I could get them signed for him. Communication was non existent; anyway the model turned up and it was a disgrace. National flags upside down and other silly obvious details wrong. Unfortunately I’m in UK and because of Brexshit the costs of returning would start making the model uneconomical. He made no effort to correct the mistakes and the rude article had the audacity to abuse me when I asked him why it was taking so long for delivery and asked for a tracking number. The model ‘was ready for dispatch’ at time of advertising. I would never recommend this guy under any circumstances. How does he expect repeat custom if he can’t get the first one right and refuses to correct it.

Re: Meagher models
I saw a few models he posted a year or two ago on Facebook that I wanted, plus about 15 others on his list of models he could build. Said I would take two models off him, the yellow Frank Meagher Mk2 and Staoil Escort Cosworth of Stevie Murphy. Had sent him numerous messages that these were two trial cars and if up to scratch then I would be interested in the others, sent a deposit for these and said would pay balance when they were ready for shipping. Sorriest thing I ever did, was inundated with messages to buy nearly every model he was considering, wanted deposits so he could start making decals and buy models. Told him no money until first two were ready and would then see if I was going to buy anymore. Models were ready a few months later so paid for them and was promised they'd be sent within a day or two.........they eventually arrived 3 months later 5 days after the postmark was stamped on the box. Open the parcel and Meagher Mk2 was first out, in perfect condition, no damage, clean, everything looked grand. Unwrapped the Murphy car, it looked like it had rolled on Hamilton Folly after the big jump, all wheels off, rear spoiler off, mudflaps off, decals damaged. Model hadn't been secured in box and a small household self tapper screw had been used to hold car on base, not the original screw that came with the model. Took a few photos and sent them to him, his reply was to send car back and he'd fix it at a small cost and then send it back. Told him I wanted a new model and when it arrived in one piece he would get the first one back. He didn't want to do that and wouldn't refund any cost to cover me fixing it. Basically told him to get stuffed so, about a week later I get a message......looking for deposits on the next models I was interested in, replied back saying no way and didn't want any more contact..
Waiting on a Craig Breen Metro 6R4 from another builder since 2019, deposit was paid, keep looking for a refund and get told model will be sent in 15 days, got ignored for a while and then recently hopes got built up as I got a message looking for address and contact details as model was going in post the following day, nothing since and no model.

Re: Meagher models
Anyone come across a guy called Tomasz Dyba ? Polish guy that advertised 1/43 scale rally finish Ramps. I sent him a bucket load of photos and money to get some done. He sent me pics and posted pics of the finished ramps on facebook. Got a message from him in October - was in hospital, his wife posted the parcel to the wrong address and he would then resend when he got out of hospital. Gave the guy the benefit of the doubt as its a story I've heard before but the pics had me convinced he was genuine. Needless to say its been radio silence since.

I bought a couple of models from this individual. A Connolly BP M3 which is not very good and a Craig Breen Sierra Cosworth which arrived in bits and was very poorly modified (not screwed down properly and shoddy detailing). Total waste of time and money. I would not advise anyone to buy models from him.
