Ode to the New Forum

as threatened, my latest offering.... its a bit shorted than my Christmas one, but, hey!, i'm tired lol!!

The sun stopped shining,
the sky was dark;
No birds were singing
In the park.
The wind was silenced,
the sea grew still
And forum members
All felt quite ill.

What caused this mayhem?
Who made us fear?
How could such terror
Be striking here?
Was it divine,
Or straight from the pit?
No earthly invention could
Be the cause of it.

But no my friends,
That fateful night
That made us cower
Aghast with fright,
Was caused by someone,
Some know his name
Who surely now
Is racked with shame.

Because of him,
And what he said
Our beloved forum
Is forever, Dead...
'Cos Pat, the leader,
The driving force
Who gave us pages
To air our voice.
Could take no longer
This needless crap
And pulled the plug.
And that was that!

But who could blame him,
For being cross,
He ran the forum
And suffered loss.
And for his efforts
We should adore him,
And talk with fondness
About his forum.

But then i heard
'All is not lost!'
A new forum started
And still no cost!
As if by magic,
We're back again
Big thanks to Nicky
And those web-site men.

Like a phoenix rising
Out of the fire
There arose this forum
And what was dire
Became so joyful
Hope was restored
And never again
Will we be bored.

The threads have started,
The posts are coming
And suddenly,
I've started humming.
The sky is brighter
The clouds have gone
The doom has lifted
The sun has shone.

So let's give Nicky
Our thanks and praise
And wish this forum
Many happy days
There will be hassles
But not too many
And watch us all
Spend every penny.
On our addiction
To our collections,
Our models, the centre
Of our affections.
And hopefully Pat
Will soon be seen
Advising with wisdom
Like he's always been.

But old members slowly
And in no hurry
Are joining up
Even P McMurray!
And as the forum
Grows ever stronger
And our rows of models
Grow ever longer
Lets work together
And keep it straight
And surely this place
Will become great!
