25 Year Audi Tradition models

On the Rallymodels Facebook pages Andy has flagged up an orange Audi Pikes Peak model.

The paragraph near the bottom reads…
Important for collectors: in 2008, the model car section of Audi Tradition will start the Audi Tradition model of the year. A strictly limited edition of just 333 units will be available for the first time at the Techno Classica – a 1:43-scale model of the Sport Quattro in orange. The Audi museum mobile at Ingolstadt, the August Horch Museum in Zwickau and the Audi Club International (ACI), the umbrella organisation for all Audi enthusiasts clubs and for clubs for the predecessor brands, will also be represented on the Audi Tradition stand.
The model is definitely made by Minichamps for Audi. There are no reference numbers on the model or box, limited edition 1 of 333 on both models.
These orange models were released at the 2008 Techno Classica at Essen (perhaps one of the biggest Classic Cars in Europe 17 Halls!!). A friend of mine always visits this show and I asked him to see what Audi had on their stand model wise. He rang me from the show to say I have found these orange ones. Which one do you want and how many. I will take two of the Sport Quattro. I think the cost was around £60 the pair. If only I knew then what I know now and took a Pikes Peak car as well!!

They are gorgeous. See one sell on ebay about 6months ago. Went for a tad over £300 if i remember correctly. Good investment
