Meeke and Ostberg officially confirmed as Citroen WRC drivers for 2014

Citroen have officially confirmed the whispers that Kris Meeke, with Paul Nagle as co-driver, will be one of the Citroen DS3 works drivers in the WRC for 2014 alongside Mads Ostberg. Looks like Robert Kubica and Mikko Hirvonen for M-Sport.

I agree, Mark. He's got an excellent opportunity ahead of him. Let's hope he makes the most of it for himself and the team and not the most of work for the bodyshop!!

great news.....also hope he keeps his nose clean.....but lets face it, kubica hardly brought every motor back the way he was given it, and he's being fawned over by the press.............and some fans.....  

I would say hes been lucky to get back in the WRC and I hope he does well for Citroen as they are giving him a chance to shine for them

Pleased for Meeke. Not sure about Hirvonen back at Ford.....gutted theyve lost Neuville to Hyundai

Money was the biggest reason for Neuville's move - he was not on a salary with MSport. Hirvonen has had his best results behind the wheel of a Ford and should rack up a few points leaving Kubica to go for glory (or crash it !). Mikko's experience will also help Elfyn Evans when he is in the third car (Nasser is only doing about 5-6 rallies with Elfyn doing the rest).
Hope Kris does well in the DS3 WRC although it does not seem to be the easiest car to use - unless you are Sebastien Loeb   

Excellent news. Could he be the next WRC champ. Mcrae crashed alot but still won it. Never rule anybody out
