This is from a public open session at the Nurburgring in 1970.
Clearly the cameraman knew where to film!!
BUT how many rear engined cars were written off making this film???

Some damage done alright but the people got tossed about as well. Suppose it shows how safety has improved in cars but a fall of the bike still is the same

Truely amazing. To see how some of those cars just broke up then the driver walks away.
