Are these MK2 Essy's the same. The blue and white car seems to have bigger arches or is it my eyes

White & red is wrong, its supposed to have the arches like the white & blue.

Boreham did indeed build a wide track RS for the Monte Carlo Rally I believe Chris, but I'm not sure whether that is the white & blue car shown though.

Maybe one of the Mk2 anoraks can help further?

Two wide arched Escorts were on the 79 Monte Carlo rally-the arches were to accommodate 15 inch wide rear wheels-these wide wheels were only used on one stage of the rally-the drivers did not like the way it made cars behave-this as reported in the event report in Autosport.

The model set of the transit and escort i have hasnt got does monte arches!!
