Hoping to get up for it myself. Only half an hour from my parents house. Not 100% sure yet though since I dont drive, i have to bum a lift of someone from home

Nah, never got round to it. Kinda strange since im into motorsport.

Everything i need is within cycling distance where i live and the other half drives so im not completely stuck

I was the same Brian rallymad and serviced for local rally drivers so never needed to drive as I was always in the service van or went to rallies with mates in their car.
I got the same questions "your into rallying and don't drive?"
Infact I went to more events than some mates that did drive and that included all over the country, Ireland and Belgium

I think if it wasn't for my father saying to me a few months before he passed away I could have his car if I past my test I probably be still riding round on me bike now lol.
I failed my test back in 92 and never bothered again until I passed my test last August so I know what its like fella

Its funny how many people find it strange that you dont drive.

I passed my theory test with full marks so had my provisional in school. Decided to go to college, didnt need to drive so let it expire. Didnt need to drive/couldnt afford a car so the bike kept me going.

Since then i just havnt gotten round to it. I even surprise myself sometimes with the amount of stuff i an carry on the bike.

The good thing I have found is that I can now go to other motorsport events that mates don't want to go to so I will be at more Autograss events this year too

i'll be up at it mark but doing video for it. my brother john will be taking pics for his facebook page.. if he gets any decent ones ill send em on to you

Paul, looking on a model collection as a financial investment is frought with danger. Enjoy them for what they are. Ebay and model forums have at one and the same time driven up the prices of some models and spawned an industry cashing in on the demand. Where do you draw the line. I have a one off KMD BP M3 of Bill Connolly and myself but does that me I can stop anyone else getting a model made ? I am currently putting together a collection of 1964 Monte Carlo models and cannot understand why the prices of the 2 red Saab's from that event are so high but sure enough someone has now produced the decals to "convert" another Saab thereby damaging the market for the highpriced originals.

I may well take a trip down.
