How about Billy Coleman's 1986 Cork 20 Rally 'Rothmans Rally' liveried MG Metro 6R4 instead of his Manx entry?

That way we'd be catering for the 6R4 nuts, as well as the Coleman / Rothmans / Irish rally / Irish driver collectors!

I forgot to point out that Billy also won the Cork 20 that year, so the subject is also an Irish rally winner!

Hi Guys, only just seen this thread (still rehearsing away like mad, ready for the opening night in 2 weeks time! )

For my part, the model would have to be a 1/43 scale 6R4 (naturally) (Denis Biggerstaff or John Price Duckham would be fab!) or Boyd's TR8 sounds a great idea too. Simon is right that I am looking to do a Feckin 6R4 in the very near future, but not 20 or so!

If there was a DRM 'special' based on that car with a base/ plaque or whatever to show it was a limited edition, Forum-only 6R4 model, I'd be very pleased... and would let someone else do the building. No great shakes as I haven't started it myself yet, just been doing the background prep ready to start when the show's over!

You can't please all of the people all of the time, yada yada yada.... so no matter what subject get's chosen, someone is bound to either say "I'm out!" or get the hump, and storm off into the sunset.

Once all the suggestions are in - maybe we need a definitive deadline to work to? - then I think there should be a poll amongst members, with the subject with the most votes getting the nod.

I've updated the list and took out the Airikkala Chevette HS as PJ has done them,




If everyone is in agreement I'll stop adding to the above list on Sunday (7th) night and ask you all to pick your "Top Three" from it before Wednesday (10th)
Then a new "Top Three" list will be put up and you all can pick your favorite model from that new list before Friday (12th)night,
Once we have all picked out a favorite then the model that has been picked the most goes to the top of the list as the "Proposed DRM Members Model"
We'll take orders to see how many want the model and see if it will be a runner, really it's just a process of elimination so it may work or it may not,
If it works out well and good if not we'll try something else.... sure we are not in any hurry lol

It looks like we will all have as many votes as we want but can only vote once for each model, I can only set it up for having 1 single vote or multiple vote,
