6r4 Metro Who Built it??????????

No base plate for this Metro. Who was the builder.
Removed pics lads because the aul lad just left the car over with me to find out if anybody would know who built it ?

Haven't a clue who built that Jimmy but I think they are Carlo decals,
Looks to be a class build, nice finish and detail,

At first I thought they were Xav's decals which are very very rare, then realised that Xav's Cyril Bolton decals were for the Manx not Donegal, so I would say that these are someone's own made decals.

Is it for sale??

Simon yes xav was a manx car alright. Had 1 or 2 in my collection. Whats the like of that worth simon or what offer would you put on it ?

Like Colin said it does look well built, I personally would pay £65-70 for it

Lads to be honest the model isnt mine. I was passed it over to see if anyone knew anything about it. Fella that owns it paid big money i believe.

thats the sad part about buying a good rare model and paying the big money....someone makes decals and spoils the value    has happen to me many times.

I agree with Simon. It's a shame the decals on white paper aren't better made else it would pass off well as a good model!  

My decal-making is improving to the point that I have matched up some yellow paint for my Glomma Papp 6R4 to cover and area of the windscreen surround which didn't go as well as I'd hoped. I've covered the 'black blob of doom' with a yellow decal I'd matched on my desktop publisher and you can't tell the difference between the paint and the decal!  

Seeing as I'm never going to get some genuine Xav decals, I might as well get on and make my own Cyril Bolton-mobile! Once I've converted the windscreen wipers and fitted them, the Jan Arthur Iversen 'Glomma Papp' 6R4 will be complete and I'll get some pics sorted. Watch out Paul or Dave - piccies heading your way in the next week!

Now when the car is sitting in front of you the colour match to the decals is spot on. Prob way light ahines or the way photos takin ? Absolutely looks nice from this end.

Paul is it not manx car xav done ? This 1 is Donegal. Has anybody made a Donegal bolton ? Sure the manx car of xavs wont be devalued in anyway ?

The light from the camera plus being up close perhaps more than you would if looking at the model on display means that a phototgraph can be more critical than the human eye in natural light would be. Hope that makes sense!?  

Whoever first said 'the camera doesn't lie' way back in the mists of time clearly didn't do their research very well!

Hello Simon nothing wrong with your pc mate. Ive taken the pics of because only reason the car was put on for a wee fella i know in coleraine that asked me if i could find out who built it. No one seems to know and the model got nothing but picked at. So thought take the pics of. In all honesty im sitting looking at the car and cant see where the colour was matched on the decal but yet the camera seen it lol...
