The surprise of the event for me is how well the cars are holding up, I think all the top drivers have had some bit of off road drama? Has there been a puncture, let alone a broken wheel or suspension among the WRCs?

Good rally in terms of how tight it is between Toyota and Hyundai. Bodes well for a competitive season. Pleased for Evans in terms of challenging the establishment,

agreed paul, it was tight for most of the event, with some hairy drives by top three, and also glad to see neuville get off to ggod start....tanak seemed a bit miffed in post hospital interview i saw, guess thats understandable after a big off,,,at least he walked away....not convinced by suninen (yet) or greensmith (yet) but maybe im still blinkered by pro-meeke glasses which i need to get over lol!!

showing my ignorance here, but can someone confirm for me when a team with more than two drivers has to nominate the two who will provide points towarsd manufacturers title, ie is it done before the start of the event, or at the end so they can gain most team points?

Loeb was lackluster in Montecarlo! It is an event which has won a few times! Breen is hungry still so be good to see him in the top 3 in Sweden. Also looking at Greensmith's really daft off, you have to wonder at M-Sports choices this year!
