Unfinished or forgotten projects
While up in the loft tonight i found in a box something I started years ago.
Not based on anything as it was at a time i liked to build Hybrid things that I started a Ford Orion Cosworth which looked something like a smaller sapphire cossy.
I have decided to re strip the model and fit it all out with a cage etc and repaint
I will post pics up of what it looks like at the mo in a bit

Hi Mark, is the model die cast or resin/ plastic? That's an interesting project. Did anyone ever rally (or road race?) an Orion? Can't say I've ever seen or heard of one being raced, so perhaps a shot at what could have been!
Have you progresses any further with your 6R4 'shop' diorama? I'd like to see how far you've got with that
Cheers, Steve

Yes - in Argentina in 1997 - the Ford Escort TC 2000 Prototipo Oreste Berta. I think TC 2000 was a national race series for heavily modified road saloons, and Oreste Berta ran Fords for several years. Information very scarce - in English at least, but try http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_483313-Ford-Escort-TC-2000-Prototipo-1997.html , http://www.videladesign.com.ar/docs_english/english_berta_escort_05.htm , http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oreste_Berta as starters. If you find out anything more, we'd be interested for imcdb.Hampton Caught wrote: Did anyone ever rally (or road race?) an Orion?
