It isn't the Ian Chamberlain Motorsport logo. Leave it with me...turn the wheel wrote:Just a pure guess Brian......is it a decal for Ian Chamberland (i think thats his name) he looks after David Bogies 6r4????????brian wrote:Quick question about this project.
Whats the closest paint match for the splitter on the front, ive tried making a decal for it but cant get the colour shade right.
Also, anyone know the logo behind the hankook logo below. I think i remember drawing this for another project but cant find it now

Re: What to do with these? Kris Meeke 6r4 Rally Ireland Demonstration Run 2009
Hell Brian, I forgot all about it - sorry mate!
All I was going to do was send a mesage to David Smith of Rally School Ireland to see if he'd mind telling me what it was, saying something along the lines that I wanted to make a model of the car. Do you want me to still do that, or are you happy to carry on from here?
Being approx 1mm in diameter on the finished model Brian, I doubt you would see any more detail than what you can see on the above photo anyway - maybe even less detail. No offence or criticism meant of course.

Hi Brian..could be wrong but dont think its the fia logo.. in the black circle there seems to be a swan or some sort of bird ?
Re: What to do with these? Kris Meeke 6r4 Rally Ireland Demonstration Run 2009
Message sent Brian, and I'll let you know what / if I get anything back.
Re: What to do with these? Kris Meeke 6r4 Rally Ireland Demonstration Run 2009
Brian, I have news! I just received the following message from Rally School Ireland...
And here is their logo after a quick internet search! You will just need to put it in the correct black shape as shown on the car though Brian. If you'd prefer I also have a vector file 'back-saved' in Illustrator 8 as an 'ai' or eps format file, or even a pdf if you'd prefer?
Hi David, the sticker is from the graphics company called Universal Graphics. I Hope this helps

Wow was fast!! Thanks David. Could you send me the .ai or .eps of it please. Either is fine, whichever is fastest.

Cheers Colin. Excellent stuff.
Hoping to have no.1 done and dusted tomorrow. Just checking postage costs etc and i never realised how expensive it is to post to the UK. Cheapest quote ive got so far is €20!

Re: What to do with these? Kris Meeke 6r4 Rally Ireland Demonstration Run 2009
Sorry Brian but I'm out so didn't see your latest logo request till just now. I'm pleased my 'deputy' managed to solve the mystery for you in my absence though.
Would it be cheaper to post them to one or two UK addresses and then for two people to distribute them from over here? I'm more than happy to take a batch of them off you Brian, and post them on for you. £2.50-£3 usually covers most models.

It may be the case david, Ill keep looking for something cheaper, and let people decide what they want to do themselves. But can we trust you to send them on David When a box of metros arrives at your door, you'l be like, will i send them on Will i keep them

Brian, How dare you suggest that I would have a difficult decision to make whether to send them on or not! I am deeply upset, wounded and hurt at your implications! Sniff sniff...
...there is NO doubt, I would most definitely leave the country!
Honest, the offer is there if you cannot find any alternative.

Hi Brian,
I think a 'well done' for getting this done so quickly is in order! Likewise, a 'splendid behaviour' award is due to you, David, for the use of your 6R4 contacts in helping this project progress. Excellent stuff! Cheers, Steve

Re: What to do with these? Kris Meeke 6r4 Rally Ireland Demonstration Run 2009
Bad news im afraid guys
Ive decided to postpone the release of these. My plan was for 5 models before christmas. I had set myself a deadline of getting the models in the post by the 5th so they may avoid christmas post, but i wont meet that deadline. With work the last week i didnt get near enough time for modeling, and its not going to get any better before christmas
Ill work on these over the christmas period and have the first batch ready to go in January. May be the best thing all round as post wont be as bad then, money may not be as tight for people and I wont have to rush the models to get them done
