Started this eons ago so decided to try and finish it this week - haven't got a rhd dash or the proper wheels yet but I'll see how it turns out and take it from there.

I wouldn't even dream of taking on a project like yours, Billy - anything that demands patience, skill and eyesight is just way beyond my remit . This is purely a decal job.bmd wrote:nice ted, i'll be watching this just to see if i can get any pointers towards my vatanen t16 evo 1!!

Re: 205 GTi 1/43
Happy enough with the decals but the model needs wheels, work to the lights and the rear panel so I've fleabayed a Minichamps version in the hope I can do it some justice.

Bang on Peter. I'm gonna wait for the Minichamps version and try to convert it. Must adjust one or two of the decals but happy enough with them. It's only a one-off, again, but I'm getting a bit more precise with the decals as I go on.Speedy wrote:Is this the Eddie Colton car that you mentioned a while back???

Thanks very much, folks. Appreciate the kind comments.
Looking forward to having a cut off the Minichamps one. If I can easily convert (or better still just swap!) the interior I'll be a happy camper.

Nice work indeed.......must show it to Eddie the next time he's down....... so don't loose the decal file will be keeping an eye on how the conversion goes
Re: 205 GTi 1/43
.
Looking well Ted
I do like the wee 205's and if you had decals on the go I'd be up for a set,
I used the same base when I built the Burns 205 a while ago and had to convert the dash,
Ended up doing a cut/shut conversion and there's some photo's in the link below,
It takes a while for all the pic's to load but there's photo's at each stage,
If you are stuck send up a dash and I'll convert it for you

Re: 205 GTi 1/43
Thanks, Colin. I certainly remember that 205, a bit of a masterpiece it is. I'm hoping I'll be able to swap some little bits into the Minichamps - cage, seats etc. To be honest, I was going to leave it lhd as I remember the trouble you went through to convert it and I don't have the required skill, patience or a big enough kitchen table to take on that project so your offer is indeed most welcome and appreciated, thank you.Cazzo wrote:.
