Metro Evo Offroader
Just messing about with a project started ages ago.
Just got the ride height measured up. Arches widened and rounded.
Front bumper took out
Different engine in the rear and lowered down.
A spaceframe to be made for it
The wheels you see are not the finished items as these will be different
Sorry about the pic, it was quickly took with camera phone
Better pics when i start stripping the shell

Aha! Found it, Mark. Had just posted a request to see a picture of the model on the other thread, but now I see what you mean!
Intriguing! I like what you've done here. I'll keep an eye on progress! Cheers, Steve

Excellent, Mark.
The front wheelarches on the EVO car look very thin (where the Michelin decals currently are) and the air intakes on the rear windows look 'interesting' to fabricate! Keep us informed, Mark. Splendid stuff! Cheers, Steve

Re: Metro Evo Offroader
That's coming on nicely Mark, and believe it or not, I too had a thought to make a model of the two 6R4-esque Metros that have competed in the British Cross Country Championship & French Tout Terrain Championship over the last couple of years! I'm looking forward to seeing it finished therefore.
The red & white car is 3.2L BMW M3 powered and driven by Ivan Dudley, and don't forget there is another blue & white car as well - Phil Ibbotson's similarly powered car - although neither of them are actually based on a genuine 6R4 as you know...
There's some more photos and some cracking videos on the following link chaps - http://www.6r4evo.co.uk/
Nice to see something a little different Mark.

Cheers guys
I think the Offroading is getting quite interesting and the French events have some nice buggies on them too

Re: Metro Evo Offroader
I guess there Metros crews are frequent visitors to their respective dentists! The way the cars are thrown about along the trenches looks torturous. If the car is bobbling about alot on the screen from the camera's perspective, imagine what it must be like inside the car! I expect they're well acquainted with the chiropractors/ osteopaths too!
Never even knew this sport existed! Thanks for putting it on my/ our radar, Mark. Cheers, Steve

That's a mad looking yoke, Mark. Spotted 'em on Motors TV and always wondered if someone would have a go in making one. Looking good.
