rustys 1:18 wip
right been a while since i done anything with models and the last few days i have been doing a small bit hear and their, so first up was the otto m3 to get taken apart

question for rory, did u get the front grill out when u striped yours ?????
anyways all ready for painting now more or less

ad just for look as i like the subaru 22b gold wheels

next to get the make over is this

road car needs a bit of work, strip out inside fit new seats and a cage
and a lick of paint
think the tape will give it away lol

light pod looks nice also and of coarse pic wit the 22b wheels again lol

and last one for now il be working on is a subaru type r , again road car getting stripped and seats and cage to be fitted full respray change boot spoiler to be a model of my own rallycar,
so from this

to this hopefully

I was a bit nervous taking it apart at first but it realy came apart very easy, most thing I was worried about was the windows as they realy soft plastic but once ya pop out a corner and put blade behind it no probs at all

Re: rustys 1:18 wip
The grills do come out-I had mine soaked in very hot water to soften the glue and then used a needle to get in behind it to lever it out. The chrome lights and lenses come out. of the grill

Re: rustys 1:18 wip
right been busy last few weeks and said id try get a bit done with the m3, for some reason when i painted the shell the rear quater panel reacted and had to strip and repaint, why this happened is beyond me as shell was wiped down clean before been painted , maybe it was something in the resin , anyways painted now and waiting on decals, i not going to chop the dash just yet as im hopeing someone here might just decide to do a run of rhd dashes for the m3 wink wink nudge nudge mr o' c

Will work on the RHD dashboard over Easter-bit bogged down with real work and the flu so not much spare time. Who is doing the decals as I have artwork done for McHales car too. Dis you flatten the gloss white or spray black paint straight on to it?
