Simca 1000 Rally 2 SRT #58 - Norev 1/18

can you guys help me identify the rally where this model participated ?

I've got this model at some years but I never realized if this is a real model or an invention of Norev.

paulo, maybe its my bad eyesight but i dont see a driver/co-driver name, nor a rally doorplate or bonnet/boot plate?

It could be a racing car rather than a rally car, as Simca did contest quite a few races back then.

Have you tried emailing Norev, and asking if they can help you Paulo?

And ask Norev why they got it wrong when trying to write BARDAHL.

You're right, doesn't have rally plates or driver/co-driver names, but maybe should be some reason for dont have it.

No I haven't but I will follow your advise. I think that should be a rally car because have two seats with harness.

I already have contacted Norev, and the answer was:

"Dear Sir,

we reproduce only existing and real cars.

The model you have is a racing car which participated to the Simca Racing Team Cup.

but i'm not entirely convinced, I really want to clarify this matter, and once i'm still can not find anything about this car, I asked again Norev the name of the driver and a picture of the real model.

I also asked, if the Simca Racing Team Cup was a closed circuit racing, and if so, for what reason the model have fog lamps in the front and two seats with full racing harness inside?

When I have some developments I will post it here.

Nice work Simon. I think by looking at the "Foto's" bit that is the said rally car. It's just now trying to find out which rally, which the team if contacted should know?
