Decal curl
Just fitting some decals and I am having a problem with decal curl
No amount of water or decal softener as too much can wreck the decal even hairdryer to soften it out isn't working

Re: Decal curl
Dear Fecked Off,
I guess by decal softener you mean Micro Sol? Hope so, it's the best stuff I've used to date.
I'm wondering if, having brushed some MS on the car and on the decal, can you lay a coin, matchstick or something similar over the decal to help it lay approximately in place, then as the MS dries, it should pull the decal down and into place. It's a variation on what I've sometimes found with Micro Sol, where the decal wrinkles up a bit and overnight, by some magic, come the morning, it's laying beautifuly in place.
I haven't tried this myself, Mark, but it's what I would do in your situation. Hope it helps, pending a more certain, tried and tested method by another member of the community here. Cheers, Steve

Re: Decal curl
You could try some PVA glue Mark. I use it all the time to give a little extra 'stick' to decals, and it just might be enough to assist the curly decal lie flat.

Re: Decal curl
I use future (pledge liquid floor wax) to stick down decals that dont what to stay stuck. This works very well, especially on very small decals
