Bargain David, well done, I thought I had done well buying mine @ £24.00 inc post, but yours are a steal

My pace is just as bad.Hampton Caught wrote:Juha, I hadn't seen your base model photograph before now. That is quite some stash you have. At the rate I'm going, that would represent a lifetime's work of repainting and decalling!
Re: COWLEY'S BACK, with a SCOOP!...
Quick question, Is the rear event plate supposed to be on the roof?

Re: COWLEY'S BACK, with a SCOOP!...
Some kind soul very coincidentally uploaded a You Tube link to the 1986 RAC Rally on Facebook earlier today. Is that the rear event plate you can just make out in the rear window, or the top of the air filters? It's almost impossible to make it out on any rear shots as the car's are always caked in mud at the back...
Re: COWLEY'S BACK, with a SCOOP!...
Thinking about it, it's more than likely the air filters as it appears to be square topped and not arched like the rally plate.

David, I'd agree with your line of thinking. Makes more sense, and the height and position of the outline against the rear window would suggest it was the full-fat air filter.
Cheers, Steve

One very kind soul hahaha I wonder who that could be . Billy's photo helps look under rear spoiler on roof, but McKlein's one doesn't show it(angle maybe):

So would this model be better on gravel wheels rather than tarmac Dymags do you think?

Either but mine is going to corrected, with the addition of gravel dymags

Mmmmmm, looks like your suspicions were right then Dave - do you reckon it's mounted right at the very back of the roof, with the base of it sitting just before the panel gap to the tailgate then?
The car would have used both tarmac rims and gravel rims prior to retirement Simon, although gravel rims would have had a far greater use for sure.

That would make sense, especially as Harri's C96KOG was also a Cowley-run car.
