I'm waiting to see what they do with the GT86. The GT86 project should be interesting since TTE are building a car to test, DGM have their own project on the go and I read recently another prep company in the UK were starting to build up a rally spec 86....wonder which one will be better

Road one would be better with a more powerful engine like the one in the STi Imprezza

Erm! The Subaru version!  Laughing  I'll get my coat.

The article suggests that a rally version of the Yawnis  Razz  could break cover later this year but not for competition in the WRC. Makes me wonder if a Yawnis could find its way into rallycross?!

It makes good sense getting a feel for WRC-style competition again and to work on a car to the next set of regulatons, whenever they come out. Toyota can't afford a group B type situation in which they develop a car only for the regs to change and they end up with an expensive folly they can't use (except for rallycross...!).

Given how rocky Toyota were a year or two ago, it's amazing they're back on their feet again so quickly and looking to go out and have some (expensive) fun again. Good luck to them!!

Cheers, Steve
