2014 Rally Poland
Meeke finished day 2 in 5th........ reasonable if not amazing.......apparently the 'roads' cut up severely after only a few runners......

Why, he was in 9th place at end of SS17. Ostberg was down in 27th place.

Was holding a good third until ruts on stage 6 cost him, and others after him, a lot of time (cost Meeke over 24 secs). Was doing ok in 5th after that until the longest stage, SS14, where he suffered a puncture and dropped another 2 mins 49 secs. This left him in 11th but has got back up to 8th this morning (2nd & 3rd fastest overall on the two stages this morning), just 0.1 sec behind Hayden Paddon.
So just 2 stages to go, one of them being a spectator stage of just 2.5 km.
Top 3 is Ogier, Latval & Neuville.

Re: 2014 Rally Poland
Saw the last days coverage on Eurosport. They televised a jump and the spectators were as good as under the cars as they landed and they were behind the tape. Poland should not be allowed run a single stage rally not to mention a round of the World championships. They will be all running for cover if there is a fatality. Outrageous behaviour by all involved- spectators, Polish rally authorities and FIA. Are they hell bent on killing rallying ?

Re: 2014 Rally Poland
I haven't seen the footage, but I understand what you're on about. If you arrive 30 minutes before the start, you can't go anywhere, not even if you have a media tabard. Suddenly, with 5 minutes to go everyone's all over the place. They still have a lot of work to do. They taped off corridors to cross the road, but they failed to explain to system to the marshals and police so you weren't allowed to cross the stage to get back to the parking area.
