Cork 20 Rally 2014
Final round of the 2014 Clonakilty Black Pudding Championship and its a cracking top ten entries. Keith Cronin is making the Irish Debut of the Citroen DS3 R5. Between that and the 2 fiestas, its got to be the most advanced entry we have had in a long time. Wont be able to make to down myself so if anyone is around to pick me up a program that would be great. As always, Ill cover postage etc. Now the big question, what is the difference between a DS3 WRC and R5 visually
1 Daragh O'Riordan
2 Sam Moffett
3 Keith Cronin
4 Alan Ring
5 Josh Moffett
6 Sebastian Ling
7 Peadar Hurson

Saw no action as doing a bit of voluntary work at start of SS3 & SS6. Alas, wasn't near Millstreet for the model display.

Re: Cork 20 Rally 2014
Thanks lads.
No luck for the Moffetts on the event. Also what started as a good battle between Keith & Daragh never materialised after Keith's problems. Bur it ain't over 'til it's over. If both retired, Stephen Wright in the R2 would win the international event!!!!

4 Cork 20's in a row for Daragh now, nice record, even if the competition was small in numbers at the top end this weekend.

Re: Cork 20 Rally 2014
My pics are online at www.rallyfoto.be
The weather wasn't great, the entry wasn't on the same level as last year, but the stages were excellent and I'm still glad I made the trip and met JOB and Donie again. I hope the rally will stay in Millstreet, but I can see the reasons why they'd want to move away.
My next trip? No idea. This was my 6th rally in Ireland this year, 4 rallies as a photographer, 2 as a codriver, 26 days spent in Ireland and Northern Ireland, travelled over 4000km (doesn't include the flights), 4 hire cars (a nice 208 and 3 plastic things on wheels: Fiat Panda, Mitsubishi Colt and Citroën C1, we all dream of those!), many euros left behind in restaurants, pubs, Supermac's and with Lingus and Ryanair, and each time there was inevitable question "When are you moving because you're always in ireland?" I'll happily do it again next year! I might be back for Galway, or West Cork, or the Circuit, or go mad and go for the historics in Killarney this year, or anything else if an opportunity to navigate comes along.

Juha,
You are always welcome - the only problem is there is only one first time and its difficult to emulate or even better that on subsequent visits.

Yes, and I rank that first visit among the best weekends I ever had.JOB wrote:Juha,

If they can't afford the rally, I can't see them paying my trip.Niallod wrote:Loving the photos Juha, the Milstreet tourist association should be onto you
