Sad news...
He is a very nice guy, down to earth! Consistent and skilful driver... sorry for WRC loosing such driver but I think he did the right move as he is loosing speed and no more competitive car for him to challenge the leaders...
After this let's see who Malcom Wilson will replace him with... Elfyn and his team mate?

Shame to see him go but once the speed is gone its time to go. He hasnt looked the same since he went to citroen.
Its funny that of all the best wishes for him across various forums Ive seen, ive yet to see anyone comment on his speed. Sure he has fallen away in the last few years, but he has 15 WRC wins to his name. Its just unfortunate he came to the fore when the greatest ever driver was at his peak. He finished second to Leob in the championship 4 times and that in itself is a huge achievement since Leob has more wins than Mcrea, Sainz and Makinen combined.

good call brian, timing is everything, and you're only as good as your competition lets you be...at most other periods he might have been champion, but loeb happened to be about during his best opportunities...still a decent bloke and good driver, sad to see a top name hang up the boots.....
