New look and location for this years event it will be based in Sunderland with stages mainly in Keilder (furthest South is Croft so no Yorkshire mileage). Hope that some of the magic isnt lost as its much more compact but has attracted a good looking entry with De Mevius and Munster in Porsches from Belgium and Julian Reynolds in RSD's fantastic Fiat 131 amongst others. Also a Quattro on the list which is interesting!
Planning to go to Hamsterley on the Saturday so will hopefully post some pics up in due course.

Looks like I was the only forum member to head out to watch this event! Crazy weather that played havoc with the field and crazy journey in the fog up to Hamsterley for me as the A1 was shut on Saturday after a "mystery explosion" near Catterick camp..
Event was initially won by Matt Edwards however he has been excluded so there is still a certain amount of uncertainty as to what the final result will be as protests have been lodged etc. The positive news is that the Stratos which sounded superb with its new engine and the Fiat 131 both finished!
Hopefully next years event will be remembered for better reasons....
