A plea for your assistance!...

I'm trying to get IXO to release a plain white MG Metro 6R4!

I know it may well be a futile effort and a waste of time with not much likelihood of success, but I'm still going to try! I have posted the following on their Facebook page, and would welcome a 'LIKE' or a positive comment in support of my request...

Who would like to see IXO release a plain white MG Metro 6R4 to follow on from the similarly coloured Mini, Citroën, Skoda, etc that have all since SOLD OUT?... ...come on everyone, let the collector decide!

I also appreciate that such a model possibly has no interest to you whatsoever, however, please see this as a simple support to a fellow collector in times of need. I will of course back you, and return the favour if the situation ever arises in the future.

I like the idea too, David.  However, not being on Facebook, my liking the idea can't count, sorry to say!

Have to be honest am not on Friend Face but thinking of joining just so I can start lobbying Ixo to make certain models so will add the Metro to the list! Have already got down to request the Brookes Andrews Sunbeam and the Blomqvist 81 RAC Beam, Suzuki SX4 WRC Tour De Corse (first event) and various Sierra Cosworths. Perhaps as a forum we should do mass requests more often as they are supposed to be enthusiasts too?!

I hope they respond because I'm running out of white 6R4's.

Why do I have visions of that famous shot of all the white clubman spec cars outside the factory in 84/85?

Is it because between them, David and Juha are trying to recreate it in 1/43 with all 200 6R4s?

Of course, one would have to have a rear wheel missing an be dangling at a funny angle! We've seen the photo!!!!

No, that was me posting a pic the day I received 16 white 6R4's.

It would seem that 'my' campaign hasn't gone unnoticed within the doors of IXO Models. Not quite too sure about the Duez 86 Ypres model in the foreground, however as the last time that IXO produced a plain white model was the Rallying4Belgium Ypres & plain white 'pair', then perhaps this is the only photo that they have on file?



However, we must still keep up the pressure otherwise it maybe nothing more than a false promise on their part. As such, it is vital that any Facebookers on here also like and/or comment on the following link, please - many many thanks!...

I'm 'liking' this in a low-tech way, not being on Facebook, but it seems as though quite a few folks who are have already liked this.

We'll see what comes about. I'll keep stripping models in the mean time!!
