BWModels 2014-2015
2014 is nearly over and ive had a great year. Quite happy with the models Ive built this year through BWModels and hope to ramp things up in 2015. This year ive tackled some difficult builds but am pleased to say they have all paid off and not ended up in the bin.
Ive built 2 1/18 Daniel McKenna Mk2s, one for myself and for a customer with 1 more to build for another customer. Ive also started working on a collection of all the variations of GXI 9427 in Irish hands. This has included my all time favorite Irish livery of Billy Connollys BP sponsored car and current owner Denis Cronins car. Finally ive built 2 1/18 Mk2 Escorts for local driver Eamonn Murphy for himself and his co-driver. In 1/24th Ive built 2 Honda civics which were commissioned as presents for the drivers themselves, Simon Reid and Jason Roycroft. Finally completed the 1/43 run of Meeke Metros during the year too.
Along with all the buiding, Ive got the artwork ready for printing for several more cars which will be released early next year.
So what plans are in place for 2015? Ive started work on several models, some are ready to go to the printer, others require some more work but 2015 is going to be a busy year. What ive got planned are: (Ill announce each one individually when they are ready too go, these)
2 Bertie Fisher Models
2 Andrew Nesbitt Models
1 Boland Model
Continuation of my M3 collection
2 more cars for local drivers
Then a couple more maybes.
Some more work with a forum member for models they would like built.
Looking forward to 2015 already and getting some classic Irish cars built

Any chance of the Eamonn Murphy escort being made in 1/43 using a Trofeu base?

Re: BWModels 2014-2015
Thanks guys.
Ill have a chat with Eamon in the New Year and see if its OK to build a few. I have a few more of his cars to build anyway. It was he who wanted these done so he will have to OK it. Its a little different to the other cars as he approached me to build them rather than me just building for m own collection. But I cant see there being a problem, free advertising after all.

Thanks guys.
I put this up on my facebook page as well and got loads of new likes and followers of the page. Surprised how much attention it drew in to be honest. I have orders for 7 or 8 new builds, nearly all civics, so must be doing something right

Re: BWModels 2014-2015
Congrats Brian,
You missed out one of your most widely appreciated achievements in 2014 and that is the continuation of our beloved forum!
Many thanks for all your efforts in keeping us going here in our little part of cyberspace. Life would be much less interesting without the banter with fellow enthusiasts and opportunities to make holes in our pockets . Thanks everso, Brian, and may 2015 be a productive, happy and healthy year for you and yours.
Cheers, Steve

Re: BWModels 2014-2015
Just a quick update on my plans for next year as Ill need some help with them.
This is a list of models Ill be building for myself and possibly doing runs should they work out OK
So there you have it. My plans for the year. Should the large runs go ahead then this may only get partially done but I work better with a plan so there it is. Ive the artwork done for everything except the last bullet point so it might happen. Along with these, Ive been working with a forum member to get some 1/43s done but very limited numbers.
Phew, need a break after all that
This is a list of models Ill be building for myself and possibly doing runs should they work out OK
- Nesbitt Impreza WRC from Donegal 2003. Possible run of 20/30 of these should it go according to plan. As it stands I have 1 set of decals here as a trial fit, just need to get them fitted.
- McKinstry Manx 2003. Small number of these as I cant see being able to sell the same number as above. As it stands I have 1 set of decals here as a trial fit, just need to get them fitted.
- Fisher 555 Ulster 1996. Again had planned about 20/30 of these, have had a few set backs but think Ive overcome them. Hoping to be available as a day and night version with buyer specifying which they want. Decals for each sitting here as a prototype, Just waiting on tarmac wheels to be cast
- Complete one off this one. Had hoped to keep it secret and just unveil it but I need help with some of the logos. I will be making Bertie Fishers and Andrew Nesbitts 555s from the Circuit of Ireland 1999. Have nothing done other than sort the higher spoiler needed. Very early stages with both

Thanks Alan.
Fell in love with the 555 model so decided to do a few of those. McKinstry car is all your fault
