Ways to reapply peeling decals
Could anyone point me in the right direction for ways to reapply decals which have either started peeling or have come off completely. I have some models in 1/43 scale which this has happened to. I would put it down to the fact that maybe the decals weren't clear coated and sealed after they were applied.
I've heard microset and microsol are the best to use. Has anyone else had this problem? I had thought of very carefully using Pritt Stick but I might wreck the decals. Any suggestions would be very welcome thanks.

Re: Ways to reapply peeling decals
Been using this for the last few years as a way of fixing very small decals onto the cars Im building. If you have ever heard of Klear on various other model forums, this is the modern equivalent. It acts like a glue and helps stick the decal to the model stronger than just the decal alone. Dries clear so just put a little on a cotton bud or clean brush and it should attach the decal back in place

Re: Ways to reapply peeling decals
I have just fixed some today using this tried and very trusted method.
Brush on a some lacquer in the area under the decal, then put the decal in place and press it down with a soft cloth. Wipe away the excess.
I have used this to get the Dunlop, Goodyear or whatever decal to stick on the tyres
Good luck
Cheers

Thanks for all the help provided.
I haven't tried that Klear stuff but I have a tin of PVA glue in the house. Would that do the job ok? Can it be applied straight from the tin or does it need to be watered down slightly? I'll use a cotton bud because the decals are very small, ie number plate and tyre decals.
