Apart from being at work during the day , I'll celebrate (if that's still allowed at my age!) with my family before heading off for a rehearsal for this week's old time music hall show, for which I'm the chairman/ MC/ host! Can't wait.

Oh, and maybe some spendulies for some more models! maybe!?

My sister has come up trumps. OK, it's not a rally or rallycross-related experience, but it is motorsport. She's given me two tickets for the British Grand Prix at Brands this July including hospitality!

I'm a very lucky boy! Just need to work out who my 'poolus one' will be, as SWMBO was keen to point out that she has no desire, whatsover to come along with me!

Looks like 2015 is going to be an epic year for motorsport for me. If all goes well, I'll compete in my first rally (The St George's Classic Car Rally organised by our very own Chris Derbyshire in which I'll be driving the first-ever Austin Metro to compete!), every round of the British Rallycross Championship and now the Brish GP too.

Happiness is............ going around in circles, burning rubber, petrol and clutches!

I had a lovely evening and it has helped remind me to keep things in balance. Whilst my job is giving me no joy, satisfaction or sense of achievement whatsoever, the coming year promises to be epic with a combination of model-making, motorsport spectating and performing on stage (as I will be for the next three nights).

These activities, my lovely family and you guys to banter with all help to balance the drudgery of work and bring things into a more positive place.
