Interesting Facebook Group

Apologies if this has been mentioned before but I stumbled across a Facebook group today, The Golden Years of Rallying pre-1982, which might be of interest to those of you who have access to Facebook. Among loads of photos, there are some of Tony Pond which I have not seen before and Kenny McKinstry in a Mk III Escort plus some nice tributes to Dave Stokes.

Could be a useful resource for photos of pre-1982 cars. Only trouble is you can spend a lot of time going through the group postings as there is a lot of interesting stuff in there.

Its a goldmine for photos - a bit like Mark Lowe threads on the various other social media.

I agree - I found it when trying to link with some of the past BRC champions like Chris Sclater who are on there a lot. There are some incredibly knowledgeable contributors on that site, and pictures of clubman cars that I never knew existed - my latest "find" is a Mk3 escort 4x4 V6 car (I'm wondering if it was a gartrac G3/G4)

Without seeing it I guess you mean Alan Edwards car? This was famously featured in the CCC article when Senna drove various rally cars.

Great guess - i just had to check the photos and it was Allan Edwards. Looks superb.
