Rubbish Decals Empty Rubbish Decals

Post  reeft1 Sun May 29, 2016 1:56 pm

It's not really a new topic, but i've just experienced one of those "why did I not listen" moments.

Bought some overpriced decals from the Spanish Ebay seller on the basis this cars graphics was so simple I could have knocked them up myself but didn't have the time. Figured only a numpty could screw them up and he'd get the basics right like rally plates (its a mainstream WRC event) and co-driver name.....

Mistake 1

Read all your comments about how rubbish this seller was with loads of missing decals. Can't happen to me can it?

Mistake 2

And paid nearly £13 for the privalege of getting ripped off.

Mistake 3

Not my finest moment.

He is selling lots of copied stuff. I bought decals off him about a year ago and they were terrible. He is printed them on a laser printer, poor colours, missing decals etc. We all get fooled once!

I find Impulse works well on my underarms.

So far I've not had any bad experiences with third party decals, as I've only bought from trusted sources such as Vitor and David (Code343) but mostly because I usually make my own.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Mistakes are inevitable and human. Move on and don't let it spoil your day.

In fairness, the company concerned reissued me decals without any fuss. All the missing decals were immediately present, and correctly sized with one exception (the co-drivers name was still wrong).

Looks like I was originally issued an old batch that someone else had highlighted the deficiencies in as all the art work to correct was clearly already in place.
