KMD had previously announced that he is doing this model, last heard should be ready middle of next year. It annoys me when the same model is produced especially when it is a good quality one as well - Stephen Finlay appeared in plenty more rallies so why do the same one ?.

Yes I understand Piotr. There appears to be a lack of communication though as I received notification from Kevin back in May that he was going to be doing this model. I just get frustrated by the current situation, must be getting old !.

I will be waiting for the proper version from Kevin
It is totally disgraceful that after Kevin announced he was doing this model months ago Piotr then does same car
there is NO excuse for this!!!

Get over yourself lad, KMD have announced several models that have taken years to appear or never appeared other than to a select few(Nesbitt Sweden anyone?)
Piotr has made the model, that KMD and he are duplicating will not in any way hurt the collector, it will I'm sure slow sales for both and I'm sure isn't something either would choose to have happen. There have been a lot of models planned by different refinishers that never appeared, how long are others expected to wait before they can look at a project themselves? Its over 20 years since Finlay did the event in this car, KMD has been making models for a good 15 of them, shit happens but IMO he had a good window to have had this project done.
Ps, I just checked my emails, KMD announced this model on the 15/1/2006, along with the Meagher Escort Cossie, I ordered, both he then had supply issues and I'm not saying all the delays were due to Kevin but come on, over 10 years?

I have said I was going to do models and for one reason or another never got round to it or cancelled it then others do it which is fair do's.
I do agree and have said in the past one person announces and another say they are doing it which in around a close period of time is wrong, but that's life.
I do agree with David Napier if a model was announced first in 2006 and its come to light again from KMD or whoever people will not wait around.
Ixo, Trofeu and other companies copy models of the same events.
I have known KMD for years and his work is second to none and seeing this it looks a very nice model.
I am glad in a way I don't do as much as I used to as I have been there when a model was planned Galway 07 Focus WRC KPL car and PJ Rally models done the same.
We both had our own customers and I could see differences with his compared to mine.
The Irish market has been done a hell of a lot, but seeing the older cars come out is good as long as the quality is good and not like some of the crap people throw together.

Agree totally with David Napier get over yourselves. This comes up an aweful lot and been a fan of kmd models since day one and had them all in my collection bar his more recent releases. Thing is nobody complains when kevin has duplicated a model, ive noticed his last 5 models correct me if im wrong but for saying sake he has copied. Thats one of the reasons i would buy nothing from him anymore. Kevin has said hes doing everything does that mean the rest of the builders shouldnt build them because high and mighty says hes doing it. I have models from kevin with wrong decals, missing decals and bad paint jobs so fair play to the competition he has and i think for the price kevin charges now just doesnt justify, when lads out there can do as good a job if not better at times. Sorry but its the truth. Congrats piotr on a nice model looks great.

That's a weak come back Steven after your uncalled for attack on Piotr, perhaps something like an apology would have been more suitable? Were you aware of just how long it was since Kevin first announced this model?
When I posted earlier on this thread I did so with a desire to inform not to attack. I don't collect 1/43 any more and thus will buy neither but I felt the comments directed at Piotr were misplaced.

It won't be for me if it does, time moves on and I no longer buy code3s. I asked Kevin about the Nesbitt Sweden car when they did the event, asking for one if he ever made it, seeing these models resold on ebay was one factor in my decision to stop buying and to return to building 1/24s, help from the likes of Bruno has allowed me to enjoy this side of things more than ever before
