I would, they are great models. Actually thinking of buying a 1/1 Skoda next year. Toss up between a Fabia or a MG3

I looked at the MG3 to replace my MK1 Fabia. people said they where rubbish, but if looked after they are ok.
I chose my MK3 Fabia 1.2T SE L TSI and well happy with it.

Skoda is basically VW now so the quality is there. Might have to go for a VRS though
