Loeb to M-Sport 2019?

With Peugeot pulling out of RX, apparently M-Sport are sniffing round Loeb. Now that would be a proper coup!

Unless a major sponsor can be found at the 11th hour its looking unlikely that there will be a M Sport team at the top level in 2019.

Saw that. Gutted. I hear they went deep in to the red funding Ogier the past two years. Fair play to Malcolm-“ i’m desperate to be in the WRC next year but i have 300 employees to protect”.

It would be disappointing if MSport can't compete next season, but I think they have proved a couple of points, they got their 1st proper chance in maybe a decade, and they sure took it. They proved their ability as a team, but unfortunately they also they proved Fords level of commitment as a manufacturer, and they proved that rallying is a sport in trouble. If I were Malcolm Wilson(which I'm not!) I would walk away from the top of WRC with my head held high rather than go half funded into '19. His love for the sport is beyond doubt, but sponsors aren't coming to motorsport at the moment unfortunately.

Good news is they’ve signed up. Bad news I don’t think they have the strongest driver line up and can forsee it being a challenging year.
