Transporting models on a plane
Just an idea at the moment
Was thinking of doing a stall in Ireland with my model cars
Has anyone transported models on an Easyjet flight and knows the set up for getting boxes onto plane and cost etc etc

Re: Transporting models on a plane
steven all i can tell you is that if the box/boxes don't fit into the cabin baggage sizing unit in the check-in hall (dimensions found on airline sites), you will have to put them in with hold luggage, if theyre oversized (i think total linear dimension, ie L+W+H, must not exceed 275 cm but check to be sure), then they go through outsized baggage desks at airports...either of the latter two involves boxes getting 'manhandled' by services staff at both airports, you need to be aware that they will be treated by them as just another case.... for heavier 'freight' items there is a weight limit, i think for easyjet its around 30 or 32kg but check their site...
if it was me, and the value and size of boxes were high, id be looking at a van and a ferry....not much help i know but just my twopenceworth

Cheers
Was just another idea I had as I priced the ferry with a van and it's over £300
Where as flying is around £90 and then get a car at other side
As you say though it's the baggage handlers that could be the problem
