Barrie Hinchcliffe RIP
Many on this forum will have spent hours watch Barrie Hinchcliffe rally videos
I have just spotted this on Dirt Fish to say that Barrie recently passed away
https://dirtfish.com/rally/wrc/remembering-one-of-rallyings-greatest-artists/
One of my favourite stories from Barrie was about Ari Vatanen.
Back in the late 70s early 80s Ari was pedalling the Mk2 Ford Escort on the British Championship.
If you look back at those films Ari always managed to spot the Hinchcliffe cameras and give a quick wave.
When asked about this Barrie said he wish Ari didnt wave at the cameras, as it looked like he was on a treasure hunt.
Thanks Barrie for all your films ....loads of memories
Chris

Re: Barrie Hinchcliffe RIP
Very sad news even if him and his crew got in the way of my shots on more than one occasion!
A bit like the late Murray Walker for rally fans of a certain age his very well spoken voice is one I will always associate with rally reports from my formative years.
