Pricing Question Empty Pricing Question

Post  Joe Leslie Sat Oct 27, 2012 7:40 pm

yesterday i was asked to build an E.Boland model for a fella R14 FMC (black escort WRC).. i already have the decals here for it

Pricing Question Eamon_Boland_Gal_98.

anywho i was just wondering what way i should price this. this is a first for me so all help is appreciated.

one thing i noticed though about the decal sheet. the decals seem to have a few differences to the actual car so if anyone has a model of it could you please e-mail pics just so i can see. thanks Smile joeleslie967@gmail.com

.

Well Joe if I was asked to build a model that needs stripped, resprayed, detailed and decals fitted I'd be looking a least £75,
By the time you take the cost of base model, decals, paint, and postage it doesn't leave much to cover your time and effort,

The overall costs depend on the price of the base model and decals, but you could still end up working 5 nights of the week at it,
If someone offered you a wee job working 5 nights a week for a few hours you wouldn't look at it for less than min-wage Rolling Eyes

For one offs ask him what its worth to him. £75 is too cheap considering the time and effort you will put in plus your base costs

Your base costs: Model.Decals.Post Paint Strip and rebuild. Probably 5 hours work on and off!
