dismantling otto models... Empty dismantling otto models...

unlike the m3 which comes apart easily in my experience, the otto legacy is being a real pain....got base and wheels off no probs but the interior which is simply glued to bodyshell, will not budge, i've grinded away all obvious hot-glue and still nothing, so before i try soaking her in hot water, has anyone done this (rory?) and does it affect their flimsy acetate wndows?

cheers

soaking in hot water didnt work so back to dremel i guess lol..... otto must have a surplus of hot-glue as theyve totally claried this tub to the bodyshell lol!! Rolling Eyes

Otto celicas were caked in hot glue as well, took a long time to get it off.

Its so thick that its really to get through. I ended up using an old flat head screw driver, heat it up over an open flame and plunge it to the glue at between both pieces. It melts a large amount of the glue so you dont spends hours chipping it away.

How are the Legacys to take apart?

hi brian, legacy sounds as bad as the celicas, the m3s were a doddle in comparison...even when i had enough glue out to remove tub, rollcage was jameed tight into front a-pillars so both front legs came off,,,,
