i really shouldnt of asked....suppose to be cutting back ....but hey its an irish model after all!! lol
To be honest, Paul, it never crossed my mind (he lied!). I'd be honoured to have them in your collection . I'm going to redo the name plates for the windows and the front wing/door panel, which I feel should be a bit wider, and see if they're ok. I'm then going to leave it sit for a while and see if the decals 'leak'. This has happened me once or twice, probably because of not using enough lacquer / varnish over the decals. If all that works then I might run off a set or two for anyone interested on the forum but ONLY if it works.

Thanks Gary. That could easily be the problem. Many thanks. Would the best place to get this be an accessory shop or fleabay or the likes?

Ted if you do decide to do a run of decals put my name on the list as well please
Re: Ascona 400 1/43
I have exclusive permission from Davy Greer to do a run of models of that car
I am not impressed at all as I have hundreds of pounds out on this model I have base cars sitting here and decals will be here just after xmas
I dont think Davy would be impressed either having granted me the right to do the car

Now dont be jumping down my throat here, this is a genuine question.
Why should you have to ask his permission to make models of his car, when I sell photos without any drivers permission? A lot of which end up in a UK wide magazine
Early bird, worm etc. I say

Excuse me?
WhenI do a model run I ALWAYS ask the driver for permission to do the a model of his car
It is good manners
plus when running a model business it is a legal requirement as told to me when I went to see my accountant
Hope that clears up your question

Steve,
First of all I had no knowledge of your plans to do the car. This was a one off for myself that I had started some time ago and never got around to actually completing until during the week. It never was, and still is not, my intention to do a run of decals or cars for sale.
Davy, or yourself, need not worry.
