Re: My GXI 9427 Collection
I had the good fortune to see them at Donie's show last year and they stole the show. I am chasing photos of the car in the other direction to see what came before Fisher so if you are feeling very adventurous, Brian I can help keep you buried in M3 models for a few years to come !!!
Which Denis Cronin version will you do ? Its just that we can all stay on the lookout on your behalf for photos etc. JFE has done one .

Re: My GXI 9427 Collection
Cronins model is the third one there james. From memory its cork 20 2002 as he won the national section that year. I know he ran it in a different livery when he bought it but that was very close to the meeghan livery, which will be right beside it in its case. Id like them to be as differnt as possible to highlight the career the car has had

Talk about co-incidence. I came in here today to ask if anyone had images of the 93 an 94 Cavan Rally doorplate. The rally was sponsored by the White Horse Hotel! Also if anyone has ever come across the rear of Meeghans Car, that would be great. Even a still from a video would be great. The rest of that car is ready for printing

Re: My GXI 9427 Collection
Brian have a look on Facebook - there is a BMW M3 group which groups together the photos for each M3 driver - the list of cars to be done with GXI 9427 plates has just expanded quite dramatically as Patrick Snijers would appear to have used the plate quite extensively.

Re: My GXI 9427 Collection
Thnks guys. Some great pictures up there. Im secretly hoping otto release another m3 in snijers livery so i dobt have to build it. Once the irish cars are done ill have a look at the total history of the car. Base models are crazy money now though so that might put an end to it before its even begun

Re: My GXI 9427 Collection
I have a set of Bastos GXI decals from a European rally. I have been working too much recently and plan to slow down for a few weeks into Aug so I can do a few projects that are sitting on my shelves. I hope to produce a set of suitable decals that will slide onto the white Otto M3 once it's been bared to white base. I hope to even print the gold decals too.

Re: My GXI 9427 Collection
Been a productive weekend. Have finished off the artwork and got it scaled ready to send to the printer. Took longer than I had hoped over the last few weeks to get these done. After spending all day staring at a computer screen in work, the last thing I want to do is spend more time looking at it when I get home.
Still hoping to get these done for the show in October. Only 7 weeks left now, but its out of my hands now. Need to have these printed and the Nesbitt and Meegan cars sprayed by Piotr in cork. Ill be painting the Fisher car myself, Im thinking Tamiya Racing White but not sure if its 'creamy' enough. Need to get a can an test

Had bought a can of the colour paint but im thinking its too creamy for the fisher car now.
I never saw the real car so can only go by pictures

Re: My GXI 9427 Collection
Brian - I'd say (and im no expert) thats too creamy based on a quick google but whats making your life hard is the disparity in how the car appears in different photos on the web. In some your paint looks only a fraction too creamy as the car is "definitely" off white, in other photos it looks like the car is washing machine gloss white. Very confusing.

Re: My GXI 9427 Collection
Its always a big debate on the fisher car. Had hoped this colour, tamiya racing white, would work but its a lot creamier than it looks online

Ford Ermine white may be worth a shot.

Re: My GXI 9427 Collection
I used Halfords Rover White diamond for my 1/43 Fisher M3s. It works pretty well.

Re: My GXI 9427 Collection
Sun visor needs to be redone but it will do for now. Will be at the show in a few weeks with this on show. Have a few extra sets of decals if anyone is interested. Will be for sale once the visors are reprinted

Brilliant job Brian. Looks fabulous - if it wasn't for the shelf I'd say 'twas the real car!
