Re: Another model builder enters the Irish market
I agree with Sal - they have done 95% of the portugal winners over the past 15 years so they have a reasonable track record but thats a lot of work in front if them.

Appreciate there maybe some licensing issues with the Fisher models etc but hopefully means that Ixo/Trofeu are leant on to mould the Chevette HSR!

Re: Another model builder enters the Irish market
Just about 45 models I'd like in that list, I hope they do a good job of whatever ones they do make, 2011 looks like a wrong picture to me. How much have the Spanish winners sold for?

Re: Another model builder enters the Irish market
In the past they have sold for about £10-£15 more than a standard Trofeu

Heres the link to the planned models. Same outfit who have been doing the Portugal rally winners.
Oh crap, this could be expensive, so far I want the following 1960, 193, 1964, 1965, 1967, 1971, 1974, 1975
Not looking any further on lol
Big question is, why do models that are already out there??
Re: Another model builder enters the Irish market

Does anyone know where other than ebay that these models can be bought from? The CoI rally program mentions Minitec and the rallies homepage as sellers but neither have a link to buy.

You used to be able to email Minitec and buy direct.

Re: Another model builder enters the Irish market
Having done most of those models for the recent display, there is no way they will get them all done. Bases for the HSR and the Rapier just not out there or the few that are cost a fortune. Its a list of winners even if some of the photos are wrong.

Re: Another model builder enters the Irish market
E39.95 + 5.00 post direct from Minitec, probably limited to 150 per model so while some will likely sell quickly other will likely be able to be picked up cheap. All a bit woolly regarding release dates and order that the models will be released in. I really like their chosen subject though, I really hope they can deliver.

Minitec.pt, email is lfonseca at minitec.pt
I got this response from them today, seems its early days in their plans.
Not numbered, and not even limited to 150. For now we are prepared to make only 150, but Circuit of Ireland organization will promote later this collection, and only then we will decide the quantity to produce. As you can imagine when we decide to produce a certain number of models, we make everything, decals, models, metal plates, etc, and the 1/43 production will be made on that quantity, no more reeditions. This is only what we can assure now.

Re: Another model builder enters the Irish market
I had noticed this topic a couple of weeks back, and had just about given up on it a little, as I didn't think it was particularly for me.Zeus wrote:I hope they do the McRae Sierra's & the Llewellin Celica the rest are good...might buy a Metro aswell
However, your mention of a possible new Metro 6R4 model (Dave), and the realisation that it is also actually part of Minitec's future plans (see list below), has obliged me to now contribute to this topic!...

...WOOHOO, I can't wait!

You can save a couple of quid by ordering via Facebook rather than eBay

Re: Another model builder enters the Irish market
My Circuit of Ireland McRae Sierra came last week. Very nice model, but I have fitted the wider Speedlines to it to make it more tarmac spec.
My model with different wider tarmac Speedlines.
Great wee model
