Laser printers

Hi,

I'm having nothing but trouble with printers at the moment.

Having used a Samsung CLP320 for years, it started to deteriate in print quality so I decided to buy a new one.

As the 320 is obsolete, I went for a Samsung 415, but it was terrible. They took it back and suggested an OKI and that wouldnt work either, so I went back to the 320 with a new fuser and new ink. I'm still having problems.

What does everyone else use?

I used to have a Konica MInolta 2300 DL which was very good-especially at printing quality photos for property reports. It broke and I replaced it with a KM 4650 DN thinking it would be as good-it is not-it produces poor quality photo prints and the toners are very expensive. Also printing decals can be very hit and miss as well.

I suggest you look at the reviews in computer magazines to tell you whats what and what it does. I have looked at reviews online as I plan to get rid of the KM and replace it with something producing better quality photos. I would buy a 2300 DL again and they do come up on eBay from time to time but are so heavy collection is the only option. The proper KM toners are very cheap to buy these days too- £15 per colour.

The 2300 W is as good as the same printer but don't know what the photo quality is like.

I use a Samsung CLP320 too. It's the second I have. No problem to report due to the printer. I destroyer a piece of the first one while trying to remove a blocked paper ... it was my faut !!!
The price of a color is expensive (about 65 EUR in Belgium while the printer cost 140 EUr !) but the result with the decal is good.
For sure it's not an APLS printer but it' enough for what i've to do ... regarding my budget too

Ive also got the 320 as well. Sometimes if im printing something on the top of an a4 decal paper, a ghost image will appear further down the page. Im assuming its toner on one of the rollers. I fixed this by cutting the a4 page into 4 printing as a6

Have had some great results with it but its difficult to get the settings right sometimes
