Another Otto M3 is in the pipeline. I think ill just get the 2 this time. Colman and Cronin shouldnt be much of a job to make from this.

I guess after Wedge challenged them, they don't inform or share any of their models in advance, especially the rally cars...Cazzo wrote:After all the emails I sent them about doing this model and they never told me first!!

they save me money and time producing this model as I was thinking of building one using AA M3 as base...
but still have doubts about resin and non opening models

Re: Another Otto M3!!!!
Omer, why have doubts? Otto, for the price are worth it. You would not be able to buy a fully opening M3 for less than twice the price once you factor in the cost of conversion.
I know at least one will be coming to my place when they become available.

Opening doors or fixed dosen't matter. As long as the detail is right and correct and there is lots of it then

Re: Another Otto M3!!!!
omer, i have to agree with mal on this one m8..i mean, after the initial 'playing about' with opening panels, who do you know who displays their models permanently with doors/bonnet open? a very small minority in my experience m8...and the value of otto compared with aa is amazing , i know you love your aa's but over £ 200 for the delta s4? not even nearly a decent price!! (though i still bought one lol !!)

Re: Another Otto M3!!!!
all of you guys are right! price and details Otto does ok. and I will for sure have one in my collection as well.
but, it's just me who likes the openings even though when display you don't open any parts, I still like the idea of having more engine and other details...
Otto colors and the mold looks pretty decent but still, I like to play around a bit

Re: Another Otto M3!!!!
Tough call now! Love the Fina M3 but the Rothmans car is the most historically important so do I sell the Duez version and buy this?! Guess the decals will be in the box?

Re: Another Otto M3!!!!
I set out to buy only 1/18th scale Lancias so for several years just had Kyosho's Stratos, 037 and Delta Integrale and was waiting for an S4 which obviously Autoart did so the set was complete. In the mean time Otto came along and my 1/18th collection has doubled and some as a result of those pesky Frenchmen and women! Therefore as much as I would love both M3s I have to be rational as the Otto Quattro S1 is on order and who knows what 2014 will see appear!

Come on Chris, the rational thing to do is buy another cabinet.

Re: Another Otto M3!!!!
I've noticed a trend with Otto with their rally cars. The events are always French or French themed. The cars seem to be Corsica or Monte Carlo versions. The RS200 was Ypres-which is kind of French. I wonder in time will we see the 205 T16, Escort and Sierra Cosworth rally versions and a 504 Coupe from the 1976 Bandama rally-a French colony when the rally was run.

Re: Another Otto M3!!!!
Your right there Rory, they nearly always have a french connection. We just need another company to make Japanese cars and we are sorted. Im expecting the first seirra to be Delecour's 1993 monte car. Otto have seen how well the rally cars sell so we can expect maybe 6+ cars from them next year. The rally versions sell out most of the time whereas the road cars are often left so end up in the otto web shop
